Is America Becoming A Police State?

March 9, 2011

I was just reading the article how the MIAMI POLICE NOW HAVE DRONES FLYING OVERHEAD THAT CAN SEE INTO YOUR HOUSE (see http://miami.cbslocal.com/2011/03/09/dade-cops-waiting-to-get-crime-fighting-drone-airborne/).

Perhaps it’s only a chimera, but does that get you thinking about the myriad ways the government is identifying you and keeping track of you? I mean ways more intrusive than income tax and Medicare and Social Security and Unemployment (ooooh, that’s a bunch right there we have not noticed).

But let’s add the house inspector drone, the TSA body scan, the national driver’s license, cameras on every corner for obsevation, traffic cameras to issue tickets, the location transponder put in every new car (to help combat theft of course), the little computer on your electric line to mangae your useage, the mobile equivalent to the TSA scanners, the national computerized identification of your medical records (in process for almost 2 years now), government access to your online account/s, your phones and texts and I’ll let you add from your own observations.

They’re talking about implantable chips to replace ID cards and credit etc.. cards.

How much more, if any, does our goverment need to know your whereabouts and what you are doing 24/7? Just an easy way to link up all these threads into one record with your name on it. It’s not unreasonable that’s aleady there. You like being under the scope 24/7?
