Obama – YOUR GM’s Volt is shocking- gas and electric

March 1, 2011

It’s official, the Volt has zapped the car market with a lightning start as a public favorite – 278 sales last month.

The following link is to a Consumer Report article that skewers the Volt as being way oversold as a great vehicle. It does not deliver better mileage than a lot of gas vehicles. It costs twice as much as a Prius. It’s a Hybrid, really, not an all electric car – it runs on batteries for about 10 to 40 miles and then a regular gasoline engine kicks in. And on top of that it takes 5 hours to recharge.

There are better and cheaper alternatives.

Which begs the questions

1. What is Obama doing ordering 100,000 to 200,000 for government employees and what is he paying for them WITH OUR MONEY?

2. What is GE, Obama’s favorite with his Jeff Immelt at it’s head, doing buying 10,000 to 20,000 for it’s fleet and hat is it paying for them? Do the GE stockholers realize Immelt is basically helping sibsidize GM at their expense?
